Christmas In Gurley
Graces of Gurley Christmas Market
A Message of Hope and Growth from Graces of Gurley
At Graces of Gurley, we are constantly praying for ways to better walk alongside our neighbors. Our mission is rooted in the truth of the Gospel: that every person is created with immense value and purpose by God. Because we honor the dignity of the families we serve, we are making some meaningful updates to our Christmas program to better reflect these values.
Our New Christmas Market
To better empower parents and guardians, we are shifting from a gift-list model to a Christmas Market. This change allows you the joy and independence of personally selecting gifts for your children in a festive, store-like environment.
The Model: This program is designed to supplement your holiday needs, rather than meet them entirely.
A Small Fee: To maintain the dignity of the "shopper" experience, items will be available for a small fee of $10 per child. This allows you to be an active provider for your family’s celebration.
For $10 per child, you will be able to select a large, medium, and small gift, valued together at $100.
Program Guidelines & Updates
As we steward our resources to reach those in the greatest season of need, we are implementing the following updates:
Five-Year Milestone: Generally, after receiving assistance for five consecutive years, families move into a "graduation" phase to make room for others in immediate crisis. However, we know every heart and home has a different story. If you have reached this five-year mark but still have a unique situation—such as being a grandparent on a fixed income—please still apply and talk to a team member so we can discuss your specific needs.
Application & Interview: To ensure we are meeting those with the truest need, an application and interview are still required.
Our prayer is that these changes foster a spirit of independence and strength within the families we serve.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
